The shame the shame---he loves the maid, every fiber perhaps, and what about in spare time do kind of research on the reality of absurdity where by absurdity is meant as 3 things.

1st thing. Try to not to be bored by existential reduction to the level where reality becomes synonymous with a kind of spectrum.

Spectra in such things as going from benevolence to aggression, then there is the real optical color spectra, then there is the spectra of social anxiety all the way to delusions, the spectra of circumstance from homelessness to opulence, the spectrum of projection to introjection, from heredity to environment,

And all these are categorized, safely placed into compartments, some under lock and key, and this is reductive, they are errands, existential errands

If bored read norman mailer,s existential errands, and meanwhile you magically promised with your whole heart and mind that you will love your tiny, abused grandchildren especially the little girl who loves swinging and swinging, and you know you can't ever break that trust,

And the maid, well she was abused as abusive, and she is like laurence Durell's wife's made, who was said to be a lesbian witch, ,

And what tied that together in a dream kind of dali like as in the surrealism in one of Hitchcock's film ,was a dream.:.:.: and it went like this--

They were on a cruise to alaska (reminiscent of Ken Casey's sailor song) and the seas were kind of rough coming into the port of Anchorage, and her dad was still alive then, and her dad told me a story of ending up as a beggar in the streets of asia, and his mom loved him but dad was abusive, and he was a runt, and although he had fifteen other siblings they all despised him, so ran. Away with a bag of rice his kindly mother gave him,

So the seas were turbulent and had dream that the maid was surrounded by wild alaskan dogs, and she was on the ground her face smiling, either unaware or non caring, and a tremendous anxiety formed within my hear, and I thought I must save her from the dogs, and I went among them, a kind of jesus savior that only dogs understood, and thought maybe they are acting this way because she doesn't like them or maybe because of antropologically, levi strauss said participation mystique, and I would die for her, and the dogs understood and they disbanded.

Whenever I get bored I think of chester son or chatter ton lying on bed so romantic yet forlorn to live other people's lives at the zenith of what it must necessarily mean.

In her case it zen to think otherwise, in mine a reduction so profound that sometimes can think can kiss the sky, see there? she pointed to the clouds there is mount olympus.

2nd thing forgot its not at all singular, durell's sheltering sky, pirandello's the man with the rose in his mouth, virginia woolf who is afraid, of her husband, even if her garden was not just simply an pretty english garden like emily dickinson's: you knew about her husband deary? Don't you? You know about dali too, don't you,he worked it nicely you must say, in those long lingering afternoons with drapes open just so, that the particles of dust like small insectly golden said forlornly good by to the incidental rays cutting through, reminiscent of some of turner's idyllic twilights, when trees were trees,

Etcetera etcetera, and how closely reductive ly idyllic can it get. With the level of reduction where the diamonds embedded unto hollywood blvd(well their glitter is not of diamonds but sparkled anyhow). And the nearest bar smelled of good ale and it became dark for 20 years of cruising it? And then her, the goddess appeared, the gudess of punishment who forgave Narcissus after all,

???

And finally 3. They had a golden son whom was killed the bars took him, and Martha out of who is afraid of virginia said did you, did you have to kill him,our golden haired beautiful son, of whose discontent this year, and every year, has been our only hope, our only refuge?

Actually if you were reading carefully my infinite knowledge, if you were listening in the classroom you would know by now that I don't have faith in Technology: I have faith in insanity, in crazy, I don't want the coming Technological Singularity to occur by machines becoming ever more intelligent until they design a machine more intelligent than man and a positive feedback loop kicks in creating ever capable brains and minds ever faster and in a jiffy the new machine brains would enter a singularity so far removed from the Ape Stone Age contraption our brain is (although it could occur this way) that a new entity and world would be born, another step in "Natural Evolution": No, I want to stick wild things in our brains as they are, stick engines and chips, crack open skulls and experiment like crazy, not using logic or reasoning but just randomly combining all kinds of elements together, wild symbols, wild chemicals, wild signals and wild circuits like a MAD SCIENTIST.

And by just randomly sticking the most contorted and crazy stuff in brains, those brains will enter a new universe, so far removed from anything, they will enter a tremendous new universe incredible and so advanced, so crazy, way more than the other machine brains that are coming from that other, more traditional path of machines ever more intelligent...

Time Travel

"Since this experience of time travel is only an information relationship, an information transaction of Mass - Energy with itself, an information exchange of chunks of Mass - Energy with other chunks of Mass - Energy, the same system of modifying information relationships that create the experience of a close encounter with an alien civilization can be used to create information relationships that create the experience of time travel in any direction, both in the future or past. Acutally time travel would be just a particular combination in the cube of mass - energy self manipulating."

Because I discovered how to Time Travel: Just make believe you time travel and you got it licked, just lie to yourself and you got it licked, just fake it and you got it licked, just pretend and you got it licked. And then don't start saying you can distinguish lies from truth...

The Universe invents Itself ...

The Universe invents Itself ...

We are the way the Universe looks at itself. But how much of itself does it need to look at itself ? and what part is the Observer and what part is the Subject ? And how much does the Universe have to use to look at itself ? And how does the view change according to how much of itself it uses (or chooses to use) to look at itself ? So the Observer can be in the form of a group of many similar point like Observers interacting between themselves and the parts of the Universe that are not the Observers (like a civilization on a planet ? ) or the Observer(s) can be diffused under another form, any other imaginable, incredible and crazy form, or it could be a set of photons that acquire consciousness and so forth. And the Observer may be the entire Universe "looking at itself" or more properly "interacting with itself" and so forth. And how does the Universe delimit the Observer from the other parts of itself ? what does it consider inside and outside, what is independent and dependent (what constitutes a surprise, something it can't "predict" against something it has under control ?), what is the Objective Reference system it decides to assign, the ground state, in order to measure some other parts of itself against itself ? and so forth...

Is it all just a trick of the mind, just logic that self manipulates itself and gives the impression of being deeper and more important, more "Iconiclastic" than what it is ? applying small sequences of symbols to the entire Universe and such ? Or is there something real and deep within these ideas ?

SO the laws of physics are discovered by the Universe itself, it establishes patterns and repetitions, but why did it decide to measure itself according to Space - Time dimensions ? why didn't it choose anything else ? it has no exterior or fundamental constraint upon itself, so it could have chosen anything at all, it can invent anything at all, and in fact our view and decoding and repetitions and "Laws of Physics" we, the Universe "looking at itself" (or better yet "manipulating itself, talking to itself and so forth") established is just one of any, one of a million others that the Universe can choose to have, can choose to self invent, just another view from an Abstraction Kit that has no contraints and fundamental Absolutes within itself limiting itself (and outside of itself, within the "Space", the container containing the Universe) in any way, Objective laws it must abide to, since it invents (and can keep on inventing new laws) its own laws, it can do anything it wants, after all it is the Universe, all, it is the superset of all and decompose itself and decode itself and choose anything it wants in anyway it wants. And in fact the Universe can choose to have an electron as the Observer of itself, or a bit in a computer, or a set of bits, or a planet size modified brains, or the entire Universe as the Observer of itself (one to one size, or an imagined trillion to one contraption, the universe invents a contraption trillions of times its size and complexity to observe itself and so forth and all the combinations in between, you invent it, the more wild and crazy and colorful the better) or a network, or all kinds of modified brains, or all kinds of Manipulated "Matter that interacts with itself" and so forth.

Hence crack open skulls, stick a V8 Cadillac Engine inside of it, you will enter a new Universe, it will be an new instantiation of a new way for the Universe to look at itself, a new view amongst many trillions of arbitrary, invented, simply assigned (like assigning a variable to a memory location in a computer) views, many trillions of new Universes, new Designs, new Brain Styles, with new Laws of Physics since the universe looks at itself through arbitrarily chosen decodings, hence laws of physics, hence Information Relationships, hence Experience Sets.

Going Nowhere ...

From:

http://www.ilovephilosophy.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=181535

"Also, technology has made people helpless to help themselves. When anything goes wrong they have to call in an ‘expert’ to do the repairs. This is a fearful world. That feeling of helplessness; that feeling of unpredictability (elsewhere I decried the determinism of classical physics, but this is the wrong kind of unpredictability); that feeling of having no control whatsoever over things."

1) It all goes back to the fact that there is so little real work left in a Technological Economy - Society that the corporations (and all kinds of organizations (government and not) and others), in order to create some activity must load all manufactured entities with never ending dependencies, complexity, software (otherwise how are you going to keep those thousands of programmers and software engineers busy in all those corporations for 8 hours a day every day ?). And this just complicates everything, everything becomes indirect, everything becomes an "obligatory path" otherwise you could revert back to a simpler device but they all make sure that nothing is backwards compatible, nothing can go back to simple basic functions, it is either all or nothing and you have to guess the right combination of "all" and so forth. This also makes everyone and everything ever more dependent on the software and engineers designing this stuff, so they too become obligatory, they become a fixed dependency, you are forced to depend on them otherwise they would not be needed (and in fact 99 % of modern software and systems are truly almost useless crap, they are just there to make you depend on someone elses work that is useless but you are forced to abide too otherwise all those workers could be dumped in a heartbeat and so on).

2) Until the 1980s you could learn a skill set and apply it to fight matter - hardware, to fight the real constraints reality opposed us as in when you could repair color TVs with an oscilloscope and such: but this is no longer the case, now you fight against other people and their choices, and the crystallization of their will power in hard wired designs of software and functionality that was chosen arbitrarily just because, as standards, not as real physical constraints but as expressions of remote will powers and remote people deciding that devices and machines and software and systems must operate according to some arbitrary quirk choice (also implying the dependencies on those corporations or standards and the power struggles associated with it, look at the legal fights between Samsung and Apple and such). A modern color TV is full of black boxes (huge ICs) that no one on earth has the faintest idea what they could possibly be doing, it is all a black box now, but that is how the manufacturers want it, nothing can be understood you must be under the thumb of others in all cases. Windows has billions of bytes of software, how is that even conceivable ? after all, it just has to really do just a few things (capture position of mouse and call a function according to where it is and such, no big deal), totally insane complexity hiding a simple power struggle, a simple will power opposing you.

3) You can never develop any kind of skill set of any value anymore in modern technology, since everything always changes and the skill set just consists in knowing the right passwords, the right combinations of numbers to enter and such (like the right version of Java on what machine with what libraries and so on, like JAVA is the programming language that you use to write over and over again the same things that doesn't work on any machine and the language is always being changed and so forth, always being updated and nothing works and in the end you are really just wasting time chasing other people's will powers and design choices and ever changing minds and standards and so on). So in essence you will always be obsolete, you will always need new training and all of what you learned is already worthless since today you just need to learn the right combination of numbers that are valid for a week and then next week all the numbers have changed again and so forth. Obviously there is no real skill needed, no accumulation of talent or know how, you are just forced to always learn new idiotic crap that goes nowhere. Instead an analog designer of a few years back could build up a nice skill set that could be used over and over again, now nothing can be used over and over again and such.

From:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=173035

"Another thing I noticed in the last few years is how a lot of technology has really peaked and we are essentially fighting against other people, their decisions and will power and not against matter - physics and natural limitations: if you designed or repaired a color TV in the 1980s you were fighting against physics by creating circuits and designs to optimize electronic functions, it was an objective kind of activity, everyone that could contribute, contributed as in the accumulation of knowledge, as a serial labor activity, as in labor accumulates and creates more results and wealth, as a "common good", in that each invention or perfection led to better results: today a digital TV system is just an aggregate of arbitrary designs and systems all decided by other people according to standards according to their free will, you essential fight against other people and not against nature. Boredom

From:

http://www.ilovephilosophy.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=179603&start=25

and

http://kunstler.com/blog/2013/01/going-to-the-movies.html

Boredom may be a cultural artifact; probably other cultures, ancient, primitive, whatever, those that are not under the thumb of the clock, don't even recognize boredom, it may be a totally alien feeling, or state of being for them. There is no concept of "Doing" or "Doing Something" or "Doing Nothing" and such as it is all related to the perception of the passage of time and such, and also related subtly to the Industrial Revolution (Work, Production, Manufacturing, Industry, Making Things, Doing Things, etc.), to something akin to the "Work Ethic" and such, or to something like "The Devil Loves Idle Hands", hence doing nothing is a sin or something like that.

A cat can do nothing all day long, is that a natural state ? Most animals do nothing 99 % of their lives, is that a natural state ? Yes, that is the natural state, even Apes and Man Like Animals do nothing and can do nothing 99 % of their lives, no problem, that is the natural state of affairs, there is nothing important to do for any life form, it is already completely achieved, it is a closed and finished product, its very existence is the final result, it just needs to follow a simple program of a few lines of code: find food and eat, crap, reproduce once in a blue moon if a mate is found, end of story.

We instead are in an unnatural state of being Tortured by a Mind, by a culture, by a form of consciousness that is "Time Aware", that must do, manipulate, by a constant unsatisfaction that will just generate ever more unsatisfaction by design, our mind is always thinking and doing, this is a totally unnatural and sick from of existence: we need to change how our mind works and is designed, or grow up in a completely different, very alien culture where all of these impulses are not present anymore...

Kriswest wrote:Ok someone forgot to tell all 46 of our cats to do nothing along with all our dogs and goats. Where do you get quiet animals? I got rooked. :)
Actually I had an interesting talk with our vet about it. Most people we know do have animals as you describe and there is a reason. It is socialization or rather interspecies socialization. The amount of different breeds and species along with an abnormal amount of alpha human attention creates curiosity and more learning. All the animals answer to their names, goats dogs and cats play together and will sleep together they even eat side by side at times.
We have animals that get bored. If they get into a routine, then someting occurs in their behavior. Animal boredom becomes destructive often or they become ill. Our situation while uncommon is not unheard of.

SO Man has tought other animals how to get bored and become evil and such as in "The Devil Loves Idle Hands".

Animals in a "Natural State", (but no state is natural, all states are fake, a perversion, any state a Mind perceives becomes a perversion as soon as it becomes an entity within a consciousness...) not in the hugely artificial, fake, phony and perverted state of being just to be a monkey for man, an amusement for man, or making man feel so good since animals "don't have a will power that opposes mine (hence man doesn't really love animals but loves the power he has over animals and confuses this with the animals being nice and such), hence animals are better than man" and such stupid idiotic ideas people have. Animals, nay any lifeforms outside the "societies man creates for them" act in simple ways, don't have any concept of boredom, are free from being influenced by man's sick and tortured mind and logic and consciousness. Actually animals living like pets for Man acquire themselves consciousness and become Man Like but Man pretends that they are not so, in fact having animals is morally incorrect and such. I hate animals anyways, I hate any lifeforms and carbon chemistry anyways, Rocks and Dead Things are so much superior, to any life forms..

You are referring to a completely artifical state of affairs and in such a state animals become similar to man with all of his crappy problems, ideas, and such (people talking to animals and such, so idiotic).

Anyways animals and life and lifeforms are hugely overrated, doing nothing is always better than doing anything, we must learn to be 100 % idle, to be nothing at all, kill the clock, don't be "Time Aware", don't be under the thumb of the clock, don't be "Goal Aware" and "Target Aware", don't decompose existence into tasks, there are no task, there is no delimitation of existence from something or anything, free your mind instead...don't be alive...

And how dare you contradict me, I am always 100 % right, I am the Super God and win always no matter what: you suck.

On a potentially related note, why is it that doing absolutely nothing is all but intolerable? Indeed, do we not indulge in many such activities precisely to ward off boredom?

Bottom line: why do we get bored?

If you need to ward off boredom there is something wrong with you.
